I’ll concede that this story may have reminded most of you HAWX was a game that existed. Iroha is the latest character for Samurai Shodown, and she will be available to download as part of the Season 2 Pass on May 13. She is the third character to be released as part of the pass. The games listed so far are Tekken 2, Ridge Racers 2, Mr. Driller, Worms World Party, and Worms Armageddon. Since Sony has yet to announce the library of retro titles to be offered with this tier, it’s best to keep expectations to a minimum as things could change between now and the revamped service’s launch in June....

While details on the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning expansion Fatesworn, coming in 2021, will be announced at a later date, we know when the base game will be released. The next season of League of Legends begins January 10, the developer revealed over Twitter. Riot posted two pictures, one with the kick off date and the other with what looks like a teaser for an upcoming cinematic trailer. “In 5 days, we break them,” reads the image which features an outline of Urgot using his chains to reach his opponent. Ahead of the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft and developer Asobo hosted a livestream to reveal some of the work the team has been doing in preparation for Update 5. Update 5 is the version of Microsoft Flight Simulator that will launch on Xbox, and it will also land on PC on the same day. The main advantage of the game’s engine rewrite is significantly improved CPU performance....

Nintendo, though, “laughed their asses off” at the offer. Now – perhaps as the embarrassment fades some 20-plus years on – Microsoft has published a letter that was sent between the two companies at the time, giving us an insight into the thinking behind the deal. The letter has been shared as part of the new browser-based Xbox 20th anniversary interactive museum, and though lots of the document is covered up (boo), there’s stil a lot to be learned from what’s visible....

The new game was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12. A trailer was shown, giving us an idea as to what kind of gameplay it offers. It’s third-person, with elements of strategy games too. You get to explore the new Overworld in a third-person perspective and will defend peaceful settlements and fight hordes of piglins to stop the spread of their Nether corruption. Allies can be brought into battle, with players able to direct them and give commands....

After seeing two screenshots seemingly leaked from the next Battlefield – which people are calling Battlefield 6 ahead of its official title being revealed – at the start of May, it looks like we’ve got more to enjoy today. A suite of blurry screengrabs, which you can see here, appear to originate from the same trailer responsible for the initial leak, which some say is the game’s reveal trailer. This latest batch of screenshots corroborate claims by leaker Tom Henderson – there’s a selection of more futuristic-looking weaponry, a rocket launch, a Boston Dynamics-like robot dog, and more besides....
