In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), two proxy voting advisory firms, represented by the CtW Investment Group, have advised share holders to vote against giving Activision complete say over how much CEO Bobby Kotick is paid. In fact, the investment group has consistently asked for this, but seemingly never managed to get enough votes. Activision will hold its annual shareholders meeting on June 11, where management will preview the Say On Pay proposal....
Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition has a release date set for October 15, and we’re super excited about it. You can expect 4k graphics, rebuilt 3D assets, modernized UI, cross-play multiplayer, and fully enhanced soundtrack and audio. Beyond all previously released content, it also features two new game modes and two new Civilizations exclusive to the definitive edition. For game modes, a set of Historical Battles set within the time period the game covers, as well as fan-favorite Art of War challenges were added after community feedback from their initial appearance in Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition....
It already seems like a lifetime ago that Elden Ring launched, but no, it was February. In that time however, players have managed some ridiculous feats, such as Twitch streamer BushyGames who managed to develop a build that lets him one shot every boss in the game (thanks, Kotaku). The rules for the challenge that BushyGames set for himself are pretty simple. Only one attack per enemy or boss phase (after all, some bosses have mandatory second phases)....
Despite that, Animal Crossing New Horizons is changing things up in interesting and exciting ways - most of which contribute to a greater sense of progression from the moment you end up finding yourself on a deserted island at the whims of capitalist supremo Tom Nook. The concept is pretty simple, and ahead of the game’s March 20 launch Nintendo took VG247 through a guided hands-on tour of the sort of thing it’s difficult to see in the review stage, given that the game is driven by the real-world date and time....
Before you jet off to your deserted island, you’ll be faced with a choice: which island should you choose? Tom Nook has plenty of options for you. You’ll be presented with four different choices of island by the Nook travel agency, though there are actually more options than the four you’ll see, as you can see in the screenshot below. The islands you’re given to choose between are based on the questions you answer previously and seemingly a random element, but you can ‘reroll’ your island choice by restarting the process if you wish....
The new story content will also feature Madeleine Madden, best known for The Wheel of Time. Details are pretty slim on what this second part will actually entail, other than that there will be “new story cutscenes to introduce and conclude each Ark map.” A short, slightly trippy trailer was shown off, which certainly does set up some dramatic events at the very least. The trailer also shows off… well, some kind of giant, human-eseuqe, octopus creature, presumably as some kind of boss you can face off against, so prepare for some nightmares if you come across it....

It would be easy to assume that with the praise rightly heaped on Larian Studios’ two excellent Divinity: Original Sin games, the team could just reskin what’s been before in the rich coat of Dungeons & Dragons and its Forgotten Realms. The first tease early last year of Baldur’s Gate 3 was light on details, but after watching nearly three hours of gameplay and sitting down with the ever-passionate team at Larian, it’s clear this is truly D&D: The Video Game, combined with the natural evolution of Larian’s excellent RPG craft....
This, of course, only applies to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions - since last-gen consoles are already limited to 64 players. Interestingly, however, DICE will be using the 128-player versions of some of the game’s maps in the 64-player playlists. Discarded, Manifest, Orbital, and Kaleidoscope will retain the 128-player version, whereas Hourglass, Breakaway, and Renewal will play the 64-player layout. As for why this is happening, it’s unsurprisingly a way to make Breakthrough less chaotic....

The games you can download and play through PlayStation Plus have been announced. This month, Plus subscribers worldwide will receive BioShock: The Collection, The Sims 4 and Firewall Zero Hour. BioShock: The Collection features all three titles in the series, while The Sims 4 gives you plenty to do with the base game. Those with PS VR can download Firewall Zero Hour which features multiplayer. Until then, you have until February 3 to download and play January titles Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Goat Simulator....

Modder and creator of the interesting experiment in FromSoftware’s acclaimed action game, Garden of Eyes, has teamed up with a name people familiar with other SoulsBorne mods will recognize – Zullie the Witch – to create a first-person mod for Bloodborne that makes boss fights and exploration in the intense gothic world all the more compelling. “Special thanks to Zullie the Witch, who generously walked me through the steps of how she made the mod and finding the different camera offsets on PC, which helped me greatly in implementing a proper approach on PS4 for Bloodborne,” the video description explains....
You’ve probably seen Maurice milling about Sanctuary, and speaking with him will now start the Bloody Harvest questline: Descent into Heck. He’ll offer you a quest that has you gathering a new item called Hecktoplasm which you can get from Haunted enemies all over the map. Gather enough Hecktoplasm and Maurice will open up a portal to Heck where you can face the skeletal Captain Haunt. You’ll have until November 5 to complete all the Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest challenges, so jump in....

Information on multiplayer maps coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on release day has been provided. According to Charlie Intel, there will be eight maps to play on November 13 with a variety of modes. These modes include the standard 6v6, 12v12 Combined Arms, and Fireteam which features up to 40 players. Maps are Miami, Cartel, Crossroads, Alpine, Armada, Satellite, Moscow, and Ruka.
